Terms of service.

These terms govern your use of scaleventures.co.uk (the "site") and the Insights subscription and individual reports sold on it (the "content"). By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to them.

1. Who we are

The site is operated by Scale Ventures Limited, 20 Wenlock, London N1 7GU ("Scale Ventures", "we"). Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), which acts as merchant of record. Your order is therefore with Paddle, and Paddle's Buyer terms also apply to the purchase.

2. What we sell

We sell digital content: research reports, interactive charts, datasets and playbooks on financial services in Africa and other emerging markets. Content is available as:

• Insights subscription — USD 30 per month or USD 300 per year, giving access to all content while the subscription is active.
• Individual reports — a one-off payment that unlocks a single report permanently.

Prices are shown in US dollars before any applicable sales tax or VAT, which Paddle calculates and adds at checkout based on your location.

3. Accounts

You need a free account to download free content and a paid subscription or purchase for paid content. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared. We may suspend accounts that share credentials or redistribute content.

4. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Manage billing link on your account page, or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then and are not charged again. See our Refund policy for refunds.

5. Licence to use the content

Content is licensed, not sold. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view and, where downloads are enabled, download content for your own internal business or personal use. You may not resell, republish, redistribute, scrape, or make the content available to third parties, or remove copyright notices. Brief quotation with attribution to Scale Ventures is permitted.

6. Nature of the content

The content is general research and commentary. It is not investment, legal, tax or financial advice, and it is not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or financial product. We do not accept liability for decisions made in reliance on it. Figures are drawn from sources we believe reliable but we do not guarantee their accuracy or completeness.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, update or withdraw content, and may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice by email.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the site or content is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Statutory consumer rights in your country of residence are not affected.
